These first weeks are for prepping the sensory systems. The movements are simple with no equipment needed. We are prepping the body and brain to make new neural connections in the vestibular, visual, and proprioceptive systems. This preparation will help prepare the brain-body for success in the next month of movements which progress in difficulty.

We recommend you use these two weeks to gather equipment needed for the following month's of movement.

  • balance board

  • larger playground ball that bounces

  • bean bags (2) preferably different colors

  • racquet ball (2) preferably different colors

  • balance beam (optional)

You can find these items on our amazon store: https://www.amazon.com/shop/brainconnextherapy

Please note that you can stick with any of the movement sessions, until your child is successful, prior to moving on to the next week. You do not need to rush through the program. We are looking for your child to be challenged but not frustrated. If any movements are extremely easy - you will see noted exercises you can add a cognitive challenge. You can always challenge the exercise by increasing the balance challenge and/or working to a metronome beat approx 60 bpm.

The series is broken down into 5 days per week of movements, for one full week. Again, as stated above, if your child needs more time with a movement you can practice it more often, until it is mastered, before moving on to the next week.
