Protocols

This section has various protocols we use for different stimulation reasons. You will be guided on which protocol to use and when during your monthly support calls.

Neural Timing (in prep for Interactive Metronome)
Balance Protocol
Vibration Protocol
Mini-Trampoline Routine for Increased Oxygen & Coordination

FUNctional Ways to Integrate Reflexes

Use these alternative ways to integrate reflexes to add additional stimulation, and/or when your child starts to get bored of the original movements. Many movements require the use of visual targets, an exercise ball, balance pad/board, hand held ball, etc. The video descriptions will tell you the equipment needed.

ATNR: Ball Smash & Turn
ATNR: Crawl with Head Turns
ATNR: Head Turn Progression with Plank
ATNR: Bucket Hold
TLR: Ceiling Ball Toss
TLR/Landau: Ball to Wall
TLR: V-up Exercise
STNR: Bird Dog with Eyes
STNR with cards/Spot It
Moro: Over Ball Pick Up
Moro: Ball Pass
Multi-Reflex: Plank Over Ball
Finger Taps Progression

Vision Exercises

Additional instructions and videos for specific vision exercises.

Optokinetic Reflex (OPK) Instructions
MetroTimer Instructions
VOR (Vestibulo-ocular Reflex)
Red/Green Test
Eye Stretches
Pencil Push-ups for Convergence/Divergence
Eye Saccades & Tracking (Pursuits)
Anti-saccades

Core & Postural Stability

Use these exercises to develop stability in your center. The stronger and more stable we are in our center, the more grounded we are, and able to move our arms & legs with intention.

Push-up Progressions
Curl-up Progressions
Bridge Progressions
Cat-Cow Quadruped
Rolling like a Ball
Shark
Rocket
Swimming
Bicycle
Lateral Plank

Cross-lateral Movements

Once we develop the foundation of the brain via primitive reflex integration and core strength, we need to strengthen the new neural pathways and communication between hemispheres. We can do this by engaging both sides of the brain at the same time through specific movements.

As soon as possible add in 2-3+ movements per day to your routine. These inter-hemispheric movements are great to do before school or learning.

Standing Cross-crawl
Bird-dog Quadruped
Windmill
Dead Bug Supine
Supine Cross-body
Elephant
Advanced Cross March with Timing
Downward Dog with Twist
Ladder Climb

Balance

Additional balance exercises to challenge balance. Use these alternative exercises once your child has mastered the single leg stance for 30 seconds.

Flamingo Pose
Tree Pose
Triangle Pose
Airplane Pose
Twisted Triangle Pose
Eagle Pose
Swaying Tree
