Our Brain-Body Connex Program combines the key elements needed to integrate primitive reflexes and help the brain develop, from the bottom-up. Treatment includes reflex work, core stability, sensory integration, cross-lateral movements, and vision exercises.
Primitive reflex integration helps restore the brain–body connection by addressing early movement patterns that were never fully developed or resolved. By calming these reflexes and strengthening the sensory systems behind them, children gain better control, coordination, attention, and emotional regulation—building a stronger foundation for learning and behavior.
Our program was created by a licensed Occupational Therapist and reflex integration specialist. The reflex integration program consists of neuro-motor movements, sensory stimulation, core/postural stability exercises, cross-lateral movements and recommendations for use of other modalities. Our creator & founder helps guide clients with their programs through our private FB support group.
Working with your child at home 3-5 days/week, for 30 minutes each session is the most effective way to change the brain and get optimal results. Following our reflex integration program step-by-step gives the brain the stimulation needed for positive changes.
Our program yields success. Parents who stay consistent with the work see positive changes in their children that last...all from the comfort of their own home.
Our therapist has worked with hundreds of families around the world, and the results are astounding. Each child is individual in their response to treatment but the most common improvements we hear are:
improved emotional regulation
decreased anger/aggression
decreased meltdowns, and overall reactivity
reduced sensory processing challenges
improvements in learning, reading, and academics
improved gross motor skills, strength and coordination
improved fine motor skills
improved language - "he started saying words for the first time!"
better sleep
decreased "fight or flight"
Learn how unintegrated primitive reflexes can affect your child's behavior, learning, motor skills, language, and sensory processing.
Get started with our new app-based program. This program is 100% customized to your child and changes each month to challenge the brain and create new neural pathways for improvements in multiple areas. Your child's program will include all areas for brain development, including reflex integration, core stability, sensory integration, vision exercises and cross-lateral work.
Our stand-alone programs are perfect for families who want flexible, a go-at-your-own-pace program. Each resource is thoughtfully designed, easy to follow, and yours to keep forever—giving you lifetime access to tools that help your child grow, whenever you need them. These programs do not include customization.
You've got questions. We've got answers.
The short answer is: many families report positive changes within the first 2-4 weeks; with continued improvements as you progress.
The long answer is: every child is different. The length of time it takes to integrate primitive reflexes and develop better balance between the hemispheres depends on how delayed your child is to start with; how old your child is; and how consistent & intense you are with the program.
Neuroplasticity (the term for "changing the brain") takes appropriate frequency, intensity, and duration. We give recommendations for these to create the most change.
A child that is "higher functioning" may improve significantly in just 4 months while a child that has more significant delays will need multiple years of continued brain development work to see their full potential.
In short, I recommend committing to a minimum of 4 months of consistent work with the program.
We completely understand. Majority of children with retained reflexes have difficulty following instructions and imitating movements -- this is because the reflexes are retained. Many clients start with a passive reflex integration program where the parent is moving the child through movements, or specific stimulation. Over several weeks, most children will begin to understand their body better and become more and more independent in the movements.
The program generally takes 30-45 minutes to complete each day. This includes primitive reflex integration exercises, core & postural stability exercises, balance training, neural timing training, and sensory stimulation. Expect more time at the beginning and less time as the months progress.
Exercises can be broken up through out the day to make it less demanding. Usually at the beginning it can take longer as you learn the movements, but once you develop a routine the program will flow faster.
Younger children, and those with more emotional sensitivity may have shorter programs at the beginning until they can tolerate more.
Not to worry! We coach the parents/caregivers in how to complete the exercises with their child. We do NOT work via zoom one-on-one. You can take your time with your child's program - completing it all in one sitting or broken up throughout the day.
No, you will not need to purchase equipment at the start. As the program progresses we may recommend downloading some apps for sensory stimulation, along with balance tools, and balls (which you may have at home already).
Included in the Brain-Body Connex Program are video & written instructions for every reflex integration exercise, core stability exercise, balance exercise, and all sensory stimulation.
You can reach out to our therapist any time with feedback, questions, or for support using a personalized inbox, microphone, or by sending videos for feedback.
For a customized, 100% personalized program, you'll want to subscribe to our Brain-Body Connex Program. After answering a few basic questions, you'll receive a program for your child. With continued support and feedback between you and our OT, we will provide monthly updates to the program to continue progress and ensure we are making gains.
“The goal is simple: restore balance to the brain by targeting specific networks on one side of the brain with very specific stimulation. By combining different types of stimulation (light, sound, smell, movement, inner ear, balance, touch) along with cognitive and academic activities etc, we can activate specific networks on one side of the brain, causing them to grow and become more connected.” -Dr. Robert Melillo (Melillo Method)
